1st EBF Young Scientist Symposium

This year, EBF organizes their 1st Young Scientist Symposium in Barcelona, in the same venue and the day before the 7th EBF Open Symposium.
Are you a young Bioanalyst from Pharma, Biotech, CROs and Academia, motivated and full of energy and passion to drive science forward? The 1st YSS is a great opportunity to highlight the scientific excellence going on around us, connect with each other and learn more about the important contributions that we are making to achieve our scientific goals.
Who Should Attend
The symposium is open for early career bioanalytical scientists (our target audience is typically< 35 or <5 years in bioanalysis) from industry (Pharma/CROs) or academia.
Call for Speakers
For this symposium we ask for your contributions:
- Oral presentation: Each presentation is 15 min. + 5 min. for questions.
- Round table: Problem statement to be described (5 min). leaving time for discussion/feedback)
- Debate: The format allows 1 speaker in favour and 1 against tiered approach. Arguments should be delivered in 10 min. to allow debate (30 min), final summary and voting.
- Poster: Option to present your poster in a 2 min. poster pitch session. Prizes for top 3 posters.

Participation in the meeting is 150 €. Registration fee is waived for EBF member company delegates and YSS speakers. Registration includes symposium participation, lunch and coffee breaks, as well as a cocktail reception on Nov. 17th (dinner and lodging not included).
YSS delegates also attending the 7th EBF Open Symposium can register at a reduced fee of 300 €.
